My name is Amy, and I am a yoga instructor, body movement specialist, former dance teacher, and former homeschool mom. For over 30 years, I worked with students ages 3 to adult. I loved teaching, directing, and owning my studio. Next to homeschooling, dance was the thing that I thought about most.
In 2014, I went on a dance hiatus for seven years after deciding to close my studio. I was dealing with high stress, and when I realized my hair was falling out, I said it was time for something new.
So, I set my focus strictly on homeschooling, and in 2021, Ihappily handed my son his diploma (with honors).
He now attends an academic college, is a member of the National Society of Leadership andSuccess chapter, and is also a member of the anime orchestra (yes, that's a real thing, and IT'S AMAZING!). I love watching him use his musical talents on the piano in such a unique way. But his most recent accomplishment was being selected for the Dean's List!
Although happy about his accomplishments, I knew there was more I could do for myself. So in 2019, I received my yoga teacher certification. I now teach my friends and family about the positive effects of yoga and how you can feel empowered regardless of age. Yoga impacted my life so much that I had a whole mind-body transformation!
I dropped four dress sizes, got my first tattoo (and then three more), found my inner Goddess, and even mustered up the courage to do a boudoir photo shoot to commemorate my 50th birthday. I never dreamed I would do something like that. But here I am; there are images on this website to prove it. I feel so empowered. I love who I have become. I can't wait to share what I have learned with you too.
